French police today used tear gas and water cannons to disperse demonstrators who demanded action to solve the climate change problem in the French city of Rennes.
The French newspaper "Quest" reported that the demonstrators demanded measures to solve the problem of climate change against the backdrop of the climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland, noting that the police tried to disperse the rioters by using tear gas and water cannons after warning them.
The newspaper quoted the police as saying in a statement: "At least 1,200 people participated in the demonstration, joined by the anti-fascists and the yellow jackets."
Protests were launched on the first of this month in the Scottish city of Glasgow, organized by environmental and climate activists to demand more measures in light of dangerous climate disturbances, at the time when the World Climate Summit was held, which will continue until the thirteenth of this month.
