Carlos Joaquín González, Governor of Quintana Roo, Mexico, spoke with Rey Rodríguez about the violence that has been generated in the State.
Tourism in the Mexican Caribbean has been affected by shootings and clashes between drug dealers.
González told CNN that drug trafficking groups from Jalisco, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Veracruz, Guerrero are regrouping the drug dealing that his government has been in charge of cleaning up.
He added that there would be the possibility that Sinaloa Cartel groups would be interested in taking over the area.
