Damascus-SANA
Concern is growing with the approach of winter due to the difficulty of distinguishing between seasonal influenza and Covid 19, at a time when experts advise taking precautionary measures and not mixing with others when feeling any symptoms to protect those around us, regardless of the diagnosis.
Covid 19 and influenza are two infectious diseases caused by different viruses and they share some symptoms, including cough, runny nose, sore throat, fever and fatigue, according to chest diseases specialist Dr. Controlled in the case of influenza where symptoms do not go in violent directions compared to Covid 19.
Al-Asafin indicated that the mutation of the Corona virus, its widespread spread, and the emergence of a delta variable made it difficult to distinguish between its symptoms and the signs of influenza, as it is noted that its first symptoms begin as a common cold and then may develop seriously.
With the difficulty of distinguishing at times, Al-Asafin recommended that everyone who develops flu symptoms, even if they are mild, take precautionary measures and not mix with others and take the issue seriously to protect himself and those around him.
Al-Asafin advised that the Corona vaccine should be taken, as it is safe and effective, and if a person has regular influenza, it is preferable to wait from 13 to 30 days before taking it.
