The able artist Zenati Qudsiya re-presented the play (Ibrahim Safia) after he prepared it based on the text of the writer Walid Ikhlasi, in an attempt to renew this tale closest to Romeo and Juliet, at the Al-Hamra Theater in Damascus.
The show, which was directed by Qudsiya for the National Theater, Directorate of Theaters and Music in the Ministry of Culture, came through several intense scenes, which adopted the classical Arabic language and the classical style of performance with a renewal in visual vision, directing and scenography.
And about the show, the artist Qudsia, the director of the show, who also played the role of Marzouk, told SANA, “Ibrahim’s topic is descriptive about love and its dualities. It is not related to a specific period that ends with its end, but it embodies the love that lives in a savage society that will eliminate it, but history will do justice to it when we immortalize the names of lovers.”
Qudsiya explained that he prepared the text, which was written in the seventies of the last century, to be closer to people in this time, with a different vision of the show in terms of technical, intellectual and aesthetic aspects, and in the performance of the actors, indicating that he worked with a group of professional artists loved by the audience, which met a beautiful interaction when presenting the show.
On the motives for presenting the character of Marouzoq, the director of the show explained that he came to the character's need for specific elements of the actor who must play it because of its special impact on the course of the show's events despite the small size of the role.
Artists Mahmoud Khalili, Alaa Al-Sheikh, Youssef Al-Moqbel, Qusai Qudsiya, Samer Al-Jundi, Jamal Nassar, Safa Raqmani and Yousha Mahmoud participated in the performance of the show roles.
And participated in the casting of Abed Zeno, Asim Zeno, Samir Abu Assaf, Imad Saidan and Samer Al-Loubani.
In the presentation card came Kinan Joud in decoration and fashion design, Bassam Hamidi in lighting design, Munwar Akkad in makeup design, Yara Abu Shakra in advertising design, Qusai Qudsiya in musical composition, Hatoon Muqresh in fashion supervision and accessory implementation, Rama Filion and Muhammad Al-Zuhairi in artistic implementation of decoration and Khosnaf Zaza Musaed Director and Emad Hannoush in the implementation of lighting, Iyad Al-Asawda in the implementation of sound, Jamal Al-Shara in the implementation of techniques, Hassan Haddad and Muhammad Asaker in the implementation of decoration, Juhaina Gomaa and Youssef Al-Nouri in the implementation of costumes.
