The completion rate of the project of maintaining and rehabilitating the Sham Road water stations in Deir Ezzor, which are 5, 3 of which operate with a capacity of 200 cubic meters per hour and 2 operate with a capacity of 160 cubic meters per hour and feed the entire neighborhoods of the city, about 90 percent.

During the tour of the ministerial committee charged with following up the service and development reality in Deir ez-Zor today, headed by the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Bassam Tohme, accompanied by the Minister of State for Investment Affairs Muhammad Fayez al-Barsha, to see the completion rates of the project to rehabilitate the Sham Road water stations and the reality of cotton harvesting and marketing operations in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor And the project to rehabilitate the sewage in the town of Al-Shamitieh, the Director of the Drinking Water Corporation in Deir ez-Zor, Engineer Jassem Al-Hamid, indicated that the completion rate of the project for the maintenance of Al-Sham Road stations amounted to about 90 percent.

He pointed out in a press statement that the number of water stations entering service in the governorate is 67, with a total production capacity of more than 41 thousand cubic meters per day.

In turn, the head of Deir Ezzor City Council, Engineer Raed Mandeel, stated that the city is witnessing a state of recovery as a result of government support and the implementation of development and service projects, especially in the liberated neighborhoods, which are witnessing an increasing return to the people after basic services have been provided to them, pointing out that the council is currently working on the implementation of replacement projects. Sewage networks, removal of dilapidated buildings, rehabilitation of streets, central islands and gardens.

The Assistant Director of Agriculture, Dr. Firas Al-Dakhil, indicated that the area planted with cotton in Deir Ezzor amounted to 4,216 hectares, and the quantities of marketed cotton were 2,250 tons, in light of the easy marketing procedures and the remunerative price offered by the government.

The tour, in which Deir Ezzor Governor Fadel Najjar participated, also included a number of markets and the electronic citizen service center in the Al-Thawra neighborhood in the city.
