Today, the Iraqi National Security Ministerial Council strongly condemned the attempt to assassinate Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, stressing that it will work steadfastly to uncover those involved in this targeting.
The council said in a statement, "The terrorist attack that targeted the house of the Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces last night is dangerous for the Iraqi state," stressing that the security services will work with firmness to uncover the parties involved in this terrorist act, arrest them and present them to a fair trial.
For his part, the head of the Progress Alliance, Muhammad al-Halbousi, saw today that targeting Al-Kazemi is a real threat to security and sought to sow chaos in Iraq.
Al-Halbousi said, "What happened at dawn today, targeting the Prime Minister's house constitutes a real threat to security and stability in the country, and it is a deplorable and irresponsible act that seeks chaos." .
The United Nations Mission in Iraq also condemned the attack that targeted Al-Kazemi's residence in the capital, Baghdad.
In a statement, the mission stressed the need not to allow terrorism, violence and illegal acts to undermine Iraq's stability and deviate the democratic process.
Today, Al-Kazemi survived an assassination attempt with a booby-trapped drone that targeted his residence in the Green Zone in Baghdad.
