Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi was the target of an attack in Baghdad's Green Zone, according to an Iraqi military statement issued Sunday.
“A failed assassination attempt against the Prime Minister, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, with a booby-trapped drone that attempted to attack his residence in Baghdad's Green Zone.
The prime minister was not injured and is in good health.
The security forces are taking the necessary measures in relation to this failed attempt, ”said the Iraqi army.
