Italy recorded 26 deaths and 5,822 new infections with the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
According to Italian Health Ministry data, the total number of infections in the country has so far reached 4,808,047, while the total deaths have reached 131,391 cases since the outbreak of the pandemic in February last year, which is the second highest death toll in Europe after Britain and the ninth highest in the world.
