135 firefighters were on duty on the Seefelder Strasse in Inning on Sunday night.

The facade and balcony of an agricultural hall at the Rossal riding stables, the top floor of which is completely converted into an apartment, caught fire.

The fire was quickly under control, but two residents of the riding stables were slightly injured and had to be taken to the surrounding clinics.

Inning

- The fire on the facade broke out shortly after midnight, according to police. At about 0.15 a.m., the residents of the several hundred square meter apartment under the roof of the agricultural hall were woken up by a smoke detector. Life-saving, as it turned out, since the outer facade and balcony were already on fire.

Since it is an agricultural property, fire brigades from all over the district were alerted - from Oberalting-Seefeld, Eching, Etterschlag, Buch. Walchstatt, Söcking, Grafrath, Oberpfaffenhofen and Meiling. THW Starnberg was also there. Operations manager Alexander Rohrmoser, commander in Inning, had to keep a list in order to call the necessary emergency vehicles to the site because there was not enough space for a large-scale operation. The vehicles were therefore available on demand at a so-called staging area on Seefelder Straße. He speaks of a "massive space problem". The fire water supply is also difficult because the fish pond could not be approached. "We had to work with a portable pump," said the Inningen commander.

Fortunately, the residents of the riding stables had already been able to contain the flames with the garden hose so that the fire could not spread any further. However, two of the four people present on the riding stables were slightly injured and had to be taken to hospital. By the time the facade and part of the roof were removed by wearers of breathing apparatus, the affected part of the apartment could be ventilated and the last sources of fire excluded, it was 3 a.m. At least the emergency services in the other district communities were able to move away from this point, so Rohrmoser. The firefighters in Inningen were able to return to the fire station at around 4 a.m.

The affected apartment under the roof of the large hall is no longer habitable in parts, the police said in a press release.

According to their estimates, property damage in the mid five-digit range was incurred.

Fortunately, according to the officials, horses that were housed in a stable in the building on fire remained unharmed.

The Fürstenfeldbruck criminal investigation department has now taken over in the further investigations.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, "however, intentional action is not currently assumed," it says.
