Because one of the men died on whom an electrician from Markt Schwaben is said to have performed medical interventions in the genital area, the 66-year-old has to answer for murder.

What does it have to do with death?

Markt Schwaben / Munich

- At the start of the trial, the 66-year-old admitted that he had performed castrations and other interventions on a total of eight men without qualification or permission;

also on the 62-year-old from Celle.

The electrician protested that he had nothing to do with his death.

The prosecution sees it differently and has charged him with murder by omission.

Accordingly, the 62-year-old had decided to continue living as a eunuch and contacted the defendant via the Internet to have him remove his penis and testicles.

In March of last year, according to the prosecution, there were two interventions in the defendant's apartment, in which the electrician removed a testicle and severed the spermatic cords.

He is said to have received 250 euros for it.

Police find body in the cellar of Markt Schwabener

A few days later, the 62-year-old's health is said to have deteriorated significantly. A young woman now reported to the Munich regional court that he had "sounded slightly drunk" in a phone call and wanted to get rid of her. According to the prosecution, the defendant should also have noticed that his "patient" was worse off. A health care proxy that the 62-year-old signed for the defendant stated that he was “seriously ill”. The police found the body of the man who, according to the indictment, died “of an unnatural cause” in a box in the defendant's cellar in Markt Schwaben.

The electrician is accused of not having fetched a doctor and having accepted the death of the man in order to cover up the castration and to be able to carry out further castrations. However, it is questionable whether there is actually a connection between testicle removal and death. A few days before the intervention, the 62-year-old is said to have "looked pale", recalled a property manager, recalling his impression at an owners' meeting in Celle. And then the caretaker was called from the 62-year-old's cell phone - at a time when he was probably already dead. The caller pretended to be a carer and said that the 62-year-old had traveled to Switzerland for euthanasia, had been infected with corona and was in the intensive care unit. It is unlikely that the accused was the caller:The accused has a pronounced Swabian dialect and the caller is said to have spoken in High German.

Experts who should be heard in three weeks could shed light on the darkness.
