Good news for the Israeli team: Captain Gal Makal may recover from an injury to his back thigh muscle and be fit for the pair of games against Poland and Estonia in the World Cup qualifiers later this month.
The 33-year-old player was injured about two weeks ago in one of the games of the Spanish Andorra and according to the team announcement he was supposed to be out for about a month due to a small tear in the back thigh muscle.
Makal is currently in Israel, and the team's medical team hopes that he will be able to return to regular training in less than two weeks, which will allow him to join the team's training in time.
As you may recall, on November 25, the Israeli team under new coach Guy Goodes will open the campaign in a home game against Poland and then go to an away game in Estonia.
