In the context of completing the settlement agreement proposed by the state to establish security and stability in Daraa governorate, 15 detainees from the governorate who were deceived and whose hands were not stained with Syrian blood were released today in the hall of the government complex in Daraa.
Daraa Governor Marwan Sharbak indicated in his speech that new batches of detainees will be released in the coming days, stressing that “the credit for establishing security and stability in the province belongs to the brave Syrian Arab Army and for their pure blood.”
A source in the competent authorities in the southern region explained that “the phase of stability witnessed by the governorate has had a positive impact on the people of the governorate by releasing more detainees,” noting that the release process “is carried out according to legal procedures, and the conditions of other batches will be dealt with successively, including violators and detainees, and return them to their families to practice their lives.” In addition to dealing with cases of missing persons through the concerned authorities detailing and clarifying the case of each missing person.”
In turn, a number of notables said in statements to SANA reporter that “releasing this batch and the subsequent batches constitutes an opportunity to practice a normal life,” pointing out “the necessity of those who have failed to serve the flag to join the ranks of the Syrian Arab Army and share victories until its soil is cleansed of the abomination of terrorism.”
During the past two months, Daraa governorate witnessed a settlement process based on an agreement proposed by the state, which included the Daraa al-Balad neighborhood and most of the villages, towns and cities of the governorate’s countryside, in parallel with combing operations carried out by the Syrian Arab Army units for the return of normal life and state institutions to their work in all parts of the governorate.
