The Israel Police has announced that it has completed the investigation into a murder that took place two and a half weeks ago in the city of Beit Shemesh.
A prosecutor's statement was filed today (Sunday) against the suspect in the murder of his mother, and in the coming days the prosecution is expected to file an indictment against him.
Investigators from the Jerusalem District completed the investigation into the murder that took place at the end of October in the city of Beit Shemesh, during which the suspect stabbed his mother in their home and caused her death.

As you may recall, following a report received that morning at the 100 police hotline that a 27-year-old man attacked his mother at their home with a knife, Beit Shemesh police officers arrived at the apartment within minutes and arrested the suspect in the act.
Shortly afterwards, medical officials who were called to the scene were forced to determine the death of the 52-year-old mother.
Additional police forces were called to the scene, including the Jerusalem District Criminal Identification Investigators, and the police began investigating the case while gathering findings and evidence.
After his arrest, the suspect in the act was transferred for interrogation to the Crime Unit of the Zion Area and his detention was extended from time to time while he was in a medical facility.
A prosecutor's statement was filed against the suspect today by the State Attorney's Office, regarding the intention to file an indictment against him in the coming days and his detention was extended.
