- The training schedule for the many branches of the city's largest sports club is becoming increasingly confusing. The reason: Because the gym at the Wolfratshausen secondary school cannot be used by the athletes this winter due to a construction site, the teams at TSV Wolfratshausen have to move to other sports facilities: "We're training in five different gyms this year," explains TSV boss Alfred Barth. This was made possible by the courtesy of the district administrator: "He made it possible for us to spend time in three halls in Geretsried."
Thanks to this solution, which Barth had hardly thought possible at first, he is relatively relaxed about the winter season.
"Fortunately, it's only been torn like this for a year," he says.
The sporting diaspora of the club's training groups should be a thing of the past once the construction site at the secondary school on Franz-Kölbl-Weg is over.
"It's only a temporary solution, luckily everyone in the club knows that." As soon as possible, the fitness and rehabilitation room in the basement of the sports facility, which athletes, soccer players and handball players used, should go back into operation.
“Apart from this downer, we have found a solution for all training units,” says Barth.

However, the choice of location for the various groups is spicy.
With a few exceptions, the training units of the largest sports club in Loisachstadt will take place in Geretsried this winter.
“In Wolfratshausen there was simply no free capacity at the necessary times,” says Barth.
“The halls are full.” A problem that the functionary has been pointing out for years.
The situation made him see again what he thought was missing in Wolfratshausen: another sports facility for the many clubs or the adult education center.

Barth directs his gaze to the neighboring communities: “They are a lot ahead of us.” In Geretsried alone there are eight gyms.
In many other communities - Bad Tölz, Benediktbeuern and Gaißach, for example - new sports facilities have recently been built.
"There are municipalities that recognize the need and invest in sport," says Barth.
He misses this willingness in Loisachstadt.
And that "although more and more is being built and many people are moving to Wolfratshausen or the region".
As the population increases, so does the number of athletes in the city.

A new gym was discussed in local politics before the 2020 local elections. In the course of the pandemic and the upcoming renovation and expansion of the elementary and middle school - cost: around 48 million euros - the city is financially not a bed of roses. The city council would like to talk about the budget situation and future expenses in a closed session. It therefore seems unlikely that the municipality will be able to shoulder the construction of a new gymnasium for the ten million euros that were recently rumored. Barth: “I don't know where this number comes from. A look at other cities shows that it is also much cheaper. ”He attaches importance to the fact that he does not formulate his wish for the TSV,“ but for Wolfratshausen ”.
