At the bend of the teeming rue des Abbesses, the rue Aristide Bruant takes us gently down to the front of number 3. Behind the bay windows on which the word "Aristide" is inscribed in gold letters, we guess behind the walnut blinds a forest of figures that come and go.
Welcome to Monsieur Aristide, the new four-star in the Monsieur collection, which now has six addresses in Paris, including Monsieur Georges near the avenue des Champs-Élysées.

Paris: the Figaro travel guide
On this opening night, October 21, it is sometimes difficult to make your way to the bar, the garden or the outdoor terrace.
Like the impression of entering one of these lively cabarets painted by Toulouse-Lautrec.
“
I imagined the bar as a square in the village of Abbesses, a place where travelers and local merchants meet
,” explains interior designer Marion Collard.
We imagine, in normal times, much quieter common areas, as can be those of a hotel with only 25 rooms and suites.
As an extension of the bar, the restaurant (closed during our visit) offers Mediterranean cuisine for lunch and dinner using seasonal products.

Recycled and vintage spirit
In the lobby, the decorative elements catch the eye.
Here, aged effect mirrors and a beautiful mahogany bar counter.
There, a vinyl jukebox and beautiful books devoted to singer Boris Vian, photographer Raymond Depardon or "Paris gangster".
Almost everything has been found in flea markets, both to awaken our nostalgia and to avoid the use of new objects.
A “recycled” spirit which also animated the choice of materials.
“
The terrazzo floor of the bar-restaurant was designed with the rubble from the demolition of the old hotel, most of the fabrics are recovered and the joinery is made with wood from certified channels
,” explains Marion Collard.
Let’s continue our visit to the upper floors. Like the hotel, the rooms are quite small, as are the corridors that lead to them. It feels cramped, but the bohemian charm is there. Sheet music, photographs, sketches of Montmartre, but also beautiful books and pocket editions ... The decoration is neat and deliberately minimalist so as not to overcrowd spaces with relatively small dimensions. On the bedside tables, an old mottled radio set in such good condition it looks like it left the factory.
On the fourth and top floor, we fell in love with the duplex suite, at number 402. The entrance is into a living room, then a staircase leads under the roof where there are the bedroom, the bathroom and a balcony from which you can see a part of the Eiffel Tower.
From here, you can also enjoy a bird's-eye view of the interior courtyard and its lush vegetation enjoyed by the four rooms and suites that surround it.
A place where you would like to have a drink, dinner or relax when the weather is good.
When fine weather arrives, the garden is intended to transform into an open-air cinema.
We look forward.
