Olching - As the police reported, neighbors noticed smoke from the house on Schwalbeneck around 1.30 p.m. and alerted the fire brigade.

When the emergency services arrived, a room in the two-story house was on fire, reports the Olching fire department.

Thick smoke came from several windows.

One person was reported missing at this time, and all other residents were able to escape from the house.

According to the police, the 59-year-old's body was examined by the Munich Institute for Forensic Medicine.

So far, it has been possible to rule out external negligence in the death of the man.

The police estimate the property damage at 75,000 euros.

Criminal Investigation Department took over the investigation.

The house is uninhabitable until further notice.
