The Astroworld festival, organized by rapper Travis Scott, is the epicenter of the most recent tragedy that surrounds the world of music.
This Friday night, at least eight people were killed and many more others were injured after a crowd pushed onto the stage at the Astroworld festival in Houston, Texas.
Travis Scott himself was giving a show when the human avalanche occurred.

In Germany, 21 people died after a human avalanche at the Love Parade music festival in July 2012.

The stampede occurred in an underpass that connected the main event venue and an expansion zone.
Authorities said there were more than 500 injured by this event.

Concert in Guinea
In Guinea, in July 2014, at least 34 people were killed (several of them were children) in the middle of a stampede at a rap concert on the beach celebrating the end of Ramadan, according to Reuters.

A human avalanche was recorded during a concert by the singer Indio Solari in Olavarría, Argentina, in March 2017. The event initially left at least 2 dead and 12 injured, as confirmed by Ezequiel Galli, mayor of Olavarría.

Rap concert in Italy
In December 2018, a stampede at a rap concert in an Italian nightclub killed five teenagers and an adult, and injured dozens, according to authorities.
A hundred people were treated for injuries after the chaos at the Lanterna Azzurra nightclub in Corinaldo, authorities said.
Stadium celebrations in Madagascar
In June 2019, a stadium stampede during Madagascar's independence day celebrations killed 16 people and injured 101, an official told CNN.
The incident occurred at the entrance to the Mahamasina stadium as crowds were gathering to pass through the gate, in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar.
Thousands of people had gathered at the stadium to attend a concert during the national celebrations.

In November 2019, a minor died and several people were injured during a concert by rapper Neutro Shorty in Caracas, where "public disturbance" was reported, according to a report by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).
