The branch of the Syrian Telecom Company in As-Suwayda has allocated 1024 new internet gates to the towns of Tarba and activated, with 512 gates for each town.
The director of the company's branch, Engineer Hazem Al-Shoufi, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the allocation of gates comes within the framework of the company's plan to expand by serving subscribers in the various regions of the governorate.
He added that during the past two months, the company installed 925 broadband internet gates, bringing the number of internet service subscribers in the governorate to more than 78,000, in addition to installing 1,556 new phone lines, bringing the total number of landline subscribers in the governorate to about 143,000.
Al-Shoufi pointed out that there are some difficulties that negatively affect the level of the branch's implementation of its plans, including the exposure of networks, cables and equipment to infringement and theft by unknown parties.
