Civil Defense personnel in Homs governorate put out today a fire that broke out in dry grasses and olive trees in the agricultural lands of the town of Al-Suwayri in the western Homs countryside.
The Director of Civil Defense in Homs, Brigadier General Ghiath Aqel, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the branch operations room received a report about a fire in the lands of Al-Suwairi town, and immediately the elements moved to the place and dealt with the fire and were able to put it out and carry out the cooling process to prevent it from spreading.
Aqel indicated that the area of the fire is estimated at about three dunums planted with olive trees.
