Frost hammer from mid-November? Expert fears "snow clap"

According to experts, snow and frost could determine the weather in Germany from mid-November.

The first forecasts are promising.

of a "snow and cold swat" that Germany could soon have a firm grip on. The reason for the courageous forecast by Heger are weather models, which the

Heger explains in the video that from November 20 the high pressure area over Germany, which is partly responsible for the mild and snow-poor weather situation, could withdraw to the west.

“That means that low pressure areas could prevail from Scandinavia,” says Heger.

And further: "The mass of air that would come down here would be really very cold." And snowfall cannot be ruled out if this scenario actually occurs in Germany from mid-November and with it a clear onset of winter.

Incidentally, the right snow hammer would not only affect the higher altitudes.

According to Paul Heger, it could also turn white in the lower elevations from mid-November, provided that the low pressure areas over Scandinavia play along.

But it gets even better: Should it actually snow, there is a good chance that people could have friends on the snowpack for a few days.

High pressure areas:

In high pressure areas the air masses sink and warm up.

As a result, clouds dissolve, the sky turns blue and the chances of sunshine are great.

The high pressure areas usually ensure nice weather.

Low pressure area:

In low pressure areas, warm, humid air rises and cools down in the sky.

As a result, clouds form, which release the moisture again in the form of rain.

The low pressure areas usually cause bad weather.

Although the average temperature is around zero degrees Celsius, the diagram for Berlin on

repeatedly shows smaller offshoots into the minus sector.

According to Heger, temperatures down to minus ten degrees are possible in Berlin, especially towards the end of the month.

Applied to other cities in lower elevations in Germany, this means that there is a chance for snow and a snow cover lasting several days in November.

But: Such weather models should also be used with caution.
