The political crisis has only intensified with a government of paralysis that has never been like it • If that is not enough, it includes extreme elements that must be desired at every step

After the press conferences and the solemn declarations on the great achievement of approving the budget (by the way, such a routine and petty matter inflated beyond all proportion), and after the prime minister and his senior ministers promised that now was the time to start work - yesterday came the cabinet meeting and reminded the current government. Of the 12 members of the Ministerial Committee for Legislation, the committee that determines how the coalition will vote in the Knesset, at least seven - that is, a majority - come from right-wing parties: Chairman Gideon Saar, Zeev Elkin, Yoaz Handel and Yifat Shasha Bitton New Hope, Matan Kahana and Ayelet Shaked on the right, and Avigdor Lieberman From Yisrael Beiteinu. The ministers on the majority list in the Ministerial Committee - but also the Prime Minister himself,Who said that a government headed by him would approve the arrangement of the young settlement at the first cabinet meeting he would hold.

This of course did not happen.

Not at the first cabinet meeting and not at those that came after it.

Yesterday, despite the clear majority, the ministers chose to dissolve the proposal and not approve it.

On Wednesday, when members of the opposition vote in favor of the young settlement, coalition members - including its right-wing side - will oppose.

Not in the absence of a majority, in the absence of a will.

Lack of desire to get involved with the parts on the left and especially with the RAAM, according to which anything will be settled.

At press conferences: The government works for the citizens, moves the country forward, and rescues Israel from a prolonged political stalemate.

In reality: a little different, not to mention upside down.

The political crisis has only intensified with a government of paralysis that has never been like it, and with extreme elements that must be desired at every step.

Government ministries have received the budget through which they can formulate plans and fulfill the vision of the Minister in charge.

However, many of them will have to make do with a "lean" budget due to the cuts and the fact that quite a few of them will have to set aside considerable sums of "hypocritical" funds for political goals dictated from above, and especially of course huge sums for the Arab sector as defined in the coalition agreement with RAAM.

Not only will extreme ideological gaps make it difficult to achieve government goals, but also a narrow and unstable majority.

As soon as a clash begins between the parties, when the right or left unilaterally decides to support a private bill contrary to coalition discipline, a war of legislation and loss of control may develop, with each side pulling in its own direction without giving up, as it has done so far.
