Liang Xi, who is only 36 years old, has rarely appeared under the spotlight of the media in the past. This time, the "Big Banner" represents the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong in the East of Hong Kong Island. His background has attracted attention from all sides.

Liang Xi's father was Liang Yingwei, the founder of the Hong Kong China Development Group, a real estate developer. In the early years, he and Liu Luanxiong, the "big Liu", founded Amico, and later parted ways. Liang Yingwei founded the Hong Kong China Group, focusing on mainland real estate. Liang Xi is now the group's chief executive officer.

Liang Xi, who graduated from the University of Southern California, did not choose to develop in a foreign country. After returning to Hong Kong, he prefers to work as a district. He said that he has served in the Yau Tsim Mong district since 2008 and has joined the neighborhood welfare association and zone committee. The DAB members are very enthusiastic about regional work, so they joined the DAB in 2015 and joined the DAB Central Committee four years later.

Liang Xi pointed out that he once wrote a column to speak out for the "post-80s", but later found that writing a column was not enough to promote policy changes, so the idea of ​​running for the election was born.

Under the slogan of "seeking change", Liang Xi criticized the government's conservative handling of things, and took the handling of rat infestations as an example. Regarding the transfer to the Hong Kong Island East direct election, Leung Hee believes that "cross-district" elections are beneficial and can bring new ideas, such as bringing the redevelopment experience of the old Yau Tsim Mong district to Hong Kong Island.

He said that in the future, communication with the public will be strengthened to increase visibility. "I was not a political star, so I could only get to know me through people-to-person contact."

Facing the two opponents of Wu Qiubei and Liao Tiancheng, Liang Xi expected that the competition would be very fierce. He pointed out that Wu Qiubei has the qualifications and status and is a very respectable opponent; Liao Tiancheng was a member of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong, with similar philosophies, describing both of them as very Strong, but think that "the election is not about choosing oneself, the most important thing is the team. I know that flying is useless. Our team has good experience and has been working hard for decades. I have great confidence in the DAB."

As for whether he is worried about the overlapping of votes and the Federation of Trade Unions, Liang Xi emphasized that the DAB serves across strata, balances the interests of different strata, and will not give priority to a certain strata.

Regarding Hong Kong’s re-emergence of immigration in recent years, Liang Xi bluntly said that he felt deeply about it, because many people around him also chose to emigrate. "Si" friends chose to work in the Mainland.

He believes that many people are still affected by the anti-amendment campaign in 2019, "I am not able to move on in 2019." However, I believe that many people will choose to return to Hong Kong in the future, just like those who emigrated to Hong Kong before the reunification. After a few years, he might look back at the incident and have a different feeling, because he has already lowered it, move on."
