More than 15 new items and new colors were recently introduced by the General Sharq Company for Lingerie Garments in the local market, in addition to its traditional ones, to enhance its presence through products that enjoy high quality and competitive prices with less than 30% of their local counterparts, according to those in charge of them.

After the management of Al-Sharq Company rearranged the conditions of production halls and warehouses and studied the local market and the similar products in it, as its director, Majd Ali, stated in a statement to SANA’s representative, it started its marketing and production plan that focuses on manufacturing products popular with consumers and completely new in terms of detail and new colors to keep pace with Models on the market meet the tastes.

Engineer Ali indicated that an agreement was signed with the Syrian Trade Corporation to market the products of the Orient through the Syrian showrooms spread in the governorates, and a number of the Corporation’s branches began to procure these products, in addition to a similar preliminary agreement with the Military Social Corporation and the start of the General Company for Ready-to-Wear Waseem to display and sell Orient products in its halls in Damascus and the governorates .

The general manager of Al-Sharq Company explained that the company had, in recent months, rehabilitated its halls, both in the Al-Qazzaz area on the outskirts of Damascus and in the city of Damascus and the governorates, for display and sale, in addition to meeting the requests for hire by the private sector, which recorded an increasing demand for the company’s products, especially on new products due to For its well-known quality and its long-standing name in the local market, as well as its competitive prices for similar products in the local market, at a rate of more than 30%.

Engineer Ali revealed that there are new talks with a number of businessmen to export the company's products to a number of Arab countries, including Iraq, Kuwait and Oman, and it is planned to open an office for the company in the capital, Muscat, to export these products to the Omani market and the rest of the Gulf countries and others.

These marketing measures taken by the company in recent months have contributed, according to Ali, to raising the value of sales since the beginning of the year until yesterday to more than 5.150 billion pounds, an increase of more than double over the same period last year, which amounted to 2.241 billion pounds.

The company produced, as mentioned by its director, during the first ten months of this year, of underwear, fabrics and exhaust, with a value of 4.657 billion, with an implementation rate of 90 percent of the production plan, and an increase of more than 335 percent over the same period last year, which had registered 1.383 billion pounds.

The general manager of the company pointed to the efforts made by its cadres of workers, technicians and administrators to achieve these results despite the shortage of labor and the provision of machinery and equipment in the company, in addition to the lack of yarn supply from yarn and yarn companies as a result of the shortage of cotton quantities supplied to it.
