Abstract.

These are small, silver, gas-filled capsules that are normally used to make whipped cream.

In recent years, many have littered the streets in the early morning, as more and more people, especially young people, inhale nitrous oxide recreationally in the evening.

This laughing gas, legal and easily accessible, is not without danger.

The risks associated with its consumption include loss of balance and disturbances in attention and memory.

The courts are struggling to prosecute the traffickers.

This episode of Source Code is told by Julien Constant, of the Île-de-France police-justice service of the Parisian, and Florian Loisy, of the Île-de-France investigation unit of the Parisien.
