The nomination period for the Legislative Council election continues. Guan Haoming, the Secretary-General of the Anglican Education Ministry who assisted the Taiwanese murder suspect Chen Tongjia, will apply for election to the Legislative Council Election Committee today (8th).
It is understood that Guan Haoming has been nominated by 16 people, including the Anglican Bishop Emeritus of Hong Kong Island Diocese Paul Kwong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Wu Hao, SHKP Executive Director Guo Jihong, and Member of the Liberal Party Legislative Council Zhong Guobin.
"Hong Kong 01" reported last week that Guan Haoming will run for the 40-seat electoral committee sector. If he is elected, he will become the first representative of the religious sector in the Legislative Council after the reunification.
Guan Haoming, 56, is an election committee member of the "National Group of Hong Kong Representatives" in the fifth sector and also the Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC. He is the most familiar with incidents in recent years. Nothing is more familiar to him than lobbying Taiwanese murder suspect Chen Tongjia to surrender.
