Lieberman's remarks come against the background of the publication in "Israel Today" that close to 100,000 couples in Israel are mixed couples, in which the Jewish spouse is married without a Jew.
This is the first time in years that official data have been published on the number of couples involved, which indicate the extent of assimilation in the State of Israel.
In addition to the yeshiva of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, the other coalition factions are convening today for meetings in the Knesset.
The Meretz faction will convene at 14:30, Labor at 14:45, New Hope at 15:00 and Blue and White at 15:10.
Yesterday at a cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that "the threat of the election has been finally removed - it is time to start working. The goal is peace and stability."
