In September, the “Höhle der Löwen” viewers saw the start-up “Holy Pit” secure a deal with Ankerkraut investors Anne and Stefan Lemcke.

But months later, the vegan deodorant cannot be found in large retail stores.

What happened?

Jesteburg - How much has the terrible death drama in the family of the Ankerkraut founders Anne and Stefan Lemcke influenced their business capacity?

Extratipp.com from IPPEN.MEDIA is currently shedding light on both investments of the "Den of the Lions" millionaires who have become multimillionaires since their deal with Frank Thelen in 2013.

This is the successful start-up “Ankerkraut” from “Höhle der Löwen” on Vox

What exactly is Ankerkraut:

In the in-house factory, Anne and Stefan Lemcke's company now also produces oils, accessories and cookbooks in addition to spices, spice blends and teas.

The "Den of the Lions" company has grown to four locations and 120 employees.

In this year's season of the “Cave of the Lions” the Ankerkraut founders Anne and Stefan Lemcke switched to the role of the lions and appeared on TV as investors for the first time on).

“I won't order anything more”: First start-up from Ankerkraut (Cave of Lions) a huge flop?

The couple from Jeseteburg (Lower Saxony) fought hard in the "Den of the Lions" and secured two deals.

But your first investment in the start-up “Veggie Crumbz” threatens to flop, if you look at the customer reactions, as extratipp.com reported.

“Veggie Crumbz” does not seem to have arrived in the retail sector yet.

A week ago, the founders wrote on Facebook: “We are planning to be represented in retail soon.

We are very happy that you would like to try our Veggie Crumbz. "

Ankerkraut founders buy “Holy-Pit” vegan deodorant sticks

But what about the second investment by the Ankerkraut founders

?

Anne and Stefan Lemcke invested 100,000 euros in “Holy Pit” and received 20 percent of the company's shares in return.

The deal between Branka Puljic and Asmir Samardzic at Vox was months ago, but the deodorant stick cannot be found on the shelves of DM, Müller or other large chains.

IPPEN.DIGITAL

asked “Holy Pit” about the background on Friday.

An answer is still pending.

To explain:

Holy Pit takes a different approach than conventional deodorants.

Instead of whitewashing the smell of sweat, the vegan deodorant cream from the Viennese tries to inhibit the formation of bacteria and thus prevent the smell of sweat from developing in the first place.

A pea-sized amount should protect against the unpleasant smell of sweat throughout the day - everything without aluminum, microplastics, silicones and parabens, they say.

After the Ankerkraut deal in the lion's den: “Holy Pit” not in the large retail trade

"Holy Pit" is currently only available in one shop (in three branches) in Austria.

The large retail trade in Germany is apparently still waiting.

What has happened to “Holy Pit” since the deal with Ankerkraut?

"Holy Pit" is currently only available in one shop (in three branches) in Austria.

The large retail trade in Germany is apparently still waiting.

At least there is no German shop on the homepage of the start-up from Graz where you can buy the deodorant stick.

The founders write on Facebook: "We are already working at full speed to be available in retail outlets."

Hardly any fans on Facebook: Where's the Ankerkraut's support for "Holy Pit"

Why the product can only be purchased online months after the deal with Ankerkraut remains questionable.

The “Lion Set” currently costs 39 euros online instead of the original 49 euros.

Only 1400 people like the Facebook page of “Holy Pit”.

For comparison: The Ankerkraut investor side is good for over 286,000 people.

In terms of marketing and PR, little seems to have happened here since the deal.

It is not known whether the sales figures have increased due to the know-how of Anne and Stefan Lemcke.
