As one of the men vomited shortly after the journey began, the driver stopped.

Apparently one of the men didn't like that at all, because then he hit the 43-year-old taxi driver in the face, among other things.

Then the four men fled - they did not pay for the trip.

Nuremberg: Police find perpetrators thanks to video surveillance

After the crime, the police opened an investigation.

The officers also used video recordings from the area in and around the main train station - with success.

Shortly after each other, officials from the Central Franconia operations center recognized two suspects.

They arrested the two men at the age of 23 and 24 with the help of police patrols from the Nuremberg Federal Police and the Nuremberg-Mitte Police Station.

When the two were to have blood drawn for an alcohol test in the police office, the 23-year-old hit an officer.

The police were only able to draw blood from him under duress.

After that, he had to be taken to the hospital because he was injured.

The two men are to be brought before an investigating judge on Monday (November 8th).

Nuremberg: Fifth participant still fleeting

Two other people involved, aged 24 and 31, could also be found.

Only the fifth from the group could not yet be identified by the officers.

In addition to the search for the perpetrators, the detective service carried out an initial securing of evidence on the taxi concerned.

The commissariat for robbery offenses at the Nuremberg criminal police is also involved in the further investigations, as the men are accused of extortion due to the attack on the taxi driver and the unpaid fare.

The 23-year-old suspect also has to answer for assault and resistance against law enforcement officers.
