Urban KS fired its coach, Amir Nussbaum, yesterday, following the 4-0 defeat to Maccabi Haifa and the drop to last place in the table. Now, owner Izzy Shirtzky is in talks with two main candidates. The first is Kobi Refuah, who coached the team last season, while the second is Slobodan Drapic.
Owner Izzy Shirtzky spoke with the two coaches, although they are both debating whether to join the northern team.
Medicine left KS last summer because travel north was too complicated for him. If Medicine's answer is no, that Retzky will go for Drapich with all his might.
Alongside these things, it is important to note that players on the team were disappointed with Nussbaum's dismissal. "Relative to the player material here, we played good football," said one of them, adding: "It's completely different. No matter who is here, the task will mainly be to score more points because in terms of football we did almost the maximum."
Sheretsky's goal is to appoint a coach as soon as possible so that he has enough time to work with the players and get to know them.
The team and arm break, which will be almost three weeks, is for Shretzky, long enough to work on the shortcomings that have been so far.
Also, KS may strengthen in January with a player or two that the next coach will select.
