In honor of the able late singer Warda Al-Jazaeryia, the artist Sham Kurdi performed a musical evening alongside the Qased Ensemble led by Maestro Kamal Skiker, at the Drama Theater at Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.
The evening program included the presentation of the songs of the late composers throughout the stages of her singing career with the Syrian Muhammad Mohsen and the Egyptians Muhammad Abdel-Wahhab, Sayed Makkawi, Baligh Hamdi and Salah Al-Sharnoubi.
Sham performed with her voice the songs of the Habib Daqqa and I asked tears of my eyes, and he said, “Eh Besaloni, and the black eyes, I miss you and my feelings towards you, to the last stop in her career when she accompanied the songs of the era with Haram I love you, as the orchestra presented music in a day and a night.
It is noteworthy that Sham Kurdi launched into the world of art in 1998 through her participation in the Al-Hawa Club on Radio Damascus and then presented several Syrian songs for the benefit of the Radio and Television Corporation. A tribute in Dar Al-Assad to honor Syrian singers from Ruba Al-Jammal, Fayza Ahmed, Maha Al-Jabri, Faten Hanawi and the Lebanese, Souad Muhammad, with the participation of the Qased Ensemble.
