The Scottish Prime Minister Nicola Sturgeon has made serious accusations against British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his party.
"There is increasing evidence of systematic corruption in the heart of Johnson's government," said Sturgeon on Monday in a discussion with journalists.
Currently, Johnson's Tories are embroiled in several scandals.
The government majority initially prevented the suspension of a Tory MP for improper lobbying.
It was also made public that the Conservatives had given several large donors a place in the House of Lords.
Sturgeon: In Russia, Johnson would denounce this behavior
"There is a deep disregard for rules and standards at the heart of his government," Sturgeon said.
Johnson seems to think that rules and laws apply to everyone but himself and his party.
"If we saw this behavior in Russia or other countries, Boris Johnson would denounce it as corruption."
Johnson's behavior is convincing more and more people in Scotland of the need to take the future into their own hands, said Sturgeon, referring to the secession of Scotland from Great Britain promoted by her party.
The prime minister is inconsistent and does not seem to have any principles.
Sturgeon wants Scotland to become independent and back into the EU.
The aim is to have a new referendum on breaking away from the UK by 2023.
It is widely believed that the UK government has to vote for a referendum.
Sturgeon emphasized that the ball was on Johnson's side.
