When visibility was poor due to fog, two traffic accidents occurred on Saturday at the B 2 roundabout on Pucher Meer in Fürstenfeldbruck.
Fürstenfeldbruck - A 61-year-old from Mammendorf drove his Toyota on Augsburger Strasse towards Mammendorf at 7:50 p.m.
Presumably because of the thick fog, he recognized the roundabout too late and could not stop in time.
He pulled up on the roundabout and only came to a stop on the hilltop.
After all four tires then had a flat tire, the car had to be towed away.
The Mammendorfer was unharmed.
Shortly afterwards, around 8:50 p.m., there was another traffic accident at the same roundabout, according to the police.
A 47-year-old Audi driver was traveling on the B 2 from Mammendorf in the direction of Fürstenfeldbruck.
The Grafrather wanted to leave the roundabout at Pucher Meer in the direction of the B 471, but missed the exit due to the fog.
Therefore, he decided to take the exit against the intended direction of travel.
There, the Audi driver met a 40-year-old man from the Aichach-Friedberg district and both collided.
In addition to the fog, the cause of the accident may also have been caused by the drunkenness of the Audi driver, because the Grafrather had an alcohol level of 1.42 per mille.
A blood sample was ordered and the driver's license secured.
The vehicles suffered a total damage of 2500 euros.
