A taxi indecent assault case occurred in Central.
Yesterday (7th) at 3 o'clock in the morning, a 25-year-old German woman took a taxi to Caine Road in Central after having fun in Lan Kwai Fong. She reported that she was thrust into her body with her finger and was forcibly dragged out of the car. The driver drove the taxi away.
The police looked at the closed-circuit television near the scene, locked the targeted taxi, and then went to Yuen Long to arrest a 50-year-old man involved in the case.
The case was originally classified as an "ordinary assault", and then temporarily classified as "indecent assault", and was handed over to the Central District Police District Crime Squad for follow-up.
According to sources, the 25-year-old German female victim boarded a taxi with her friends in Lan Kwai Fong. She was sitting in the back passenger seat and stopped suddenly when the taxi reached the junction of Caine Road and Aberdeen Street. She felt that someone had inserted her finger into her lower body, and she was forcibly dragged out of the carriage soon afterwards. The female victim fell on the road and called the police for help.
When the police received the report and arrived, the suspect had no idea what to do, and the female victim was sent to the hospital for examination.
The police later found a nearby closed-circuit television to find out the information of the taxi involved. After the investigation, the identity of the suspect was identified. The suspect was later covered up in Tai Tong, Yuen Long, to arrest a 50-year-old taxi driver.
It is reported that after being arrested, someone denied that they had assaulted the female victim and only admitted that she had pulled the female passenger out of the taxi because she did not specify her destination and did not pay the fare.
The police are waiting for the injury inspection report and further investigations. The case is temporarily listed as "indecent" and will be followed up by the Central District Police District Crime Squad.
