Among them, the school’s exchange activity for students, "The Waves of the Wandering Youth", is the best embodiment of "inspiring potential education."

"Wandering" and traditional study tours are different in all aspects. Traditional study tours are led by the leader or tour guide. They usually eat food, stay in a hotel, take a bus, visit scenic spots, buy souvenirs, and make reports. Make learning flow one-way passive.

However, in the process of "wandering", the group is given a high degree of leadership. Under the leadership of the group leader, the group members can participate in discussions, decision-making and conceiving solutions, including making good use of the predetermined amount to arrange meals, and checking the transportation routes to and from the homestay and scenic spots. Learn to set up a route map, ask the locals for directions, accumulate and internalize life information in various scenic spots, and conduct in-depth life conversations in the reflection party.

In the activity, the group members take the initiative to learn by themselves, and the leader teacher plays the role of learning facilitator.

Through the journey, children can improve their self-care and resilience, emotional intelligence, financial management concepts, etc., inducing personal beautiful traits and building a good character.

The team members worked together to overcome all the difficulties encountered during the journey under the safety conditions of the teacher's full supervision.

I still remember that during the trip to Taipei, the treasurer of one of the groups lost the cost of the entire group’s journey. However, not only did the group members not accuse each other, they also calmly discussed how to deal with it.

Finally decided to use the fancy rope skipping skills learned in school to perform street art in order to earn travel expenses and continue on the road.

After the adversity, the team leader gladly brought out the money bag that had already been found, and taught them an unforgettable lesson.

During the trip to Seoul, one of the groups discussed and decided to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace to learn about the local traditional culture.

The weather was so cold that everyone was so cold that their hands were numb. The senior group members actively and selflessly loaned cold hats, gloves, wind jackets and other clothing to their weaker-dressed companions, and supported each other in the harsh cold wind. Complete the journey without fear of the cold.

In the reflection party, one of the junior four members shared their feelings: "It was very cold when I arrived at Gyeongbokgung Palace. It was indescribably cold! But even if the weather is cold, we must continue to move forward, because this is a team activity. Together, it’s not your own, so you have to stick to it no matter what!” It turned out that even though each team member had different experiences during the journey, they have all grown up quietly, and achieved the school’s purpose of organizing this event and giving play to their strengths. After returning to Hong Kong, the school organized a street stall activity, where students made picture books or photo albums with rich pictures and texts, shared with teachers, parents, classmates and other guests what they saw and heard during the journey, and tasted local snacks together.

Teachers and parents said that the students have grown a lot after returning from the journey, and the students also said that the journey was a very unforgettable experience.

Although the journey of "wandering" has come to an end, it is the starting point for the growth of this group of future masters.
