Once again the wild geese are making life difficult for the citizens at Lake Kranzberger.
A solution to the problem does not seem to be in sight so far.
Kranzberg
- The Kranzbergers are proud of their bathing lake, but they also look at developments there with concern.
Roland Haslbeck addressed the problem of the annually growing wild geese population, for which there are no really practicable solutions.
Haslbeck painted the worst scenario on the wall: “We currently have 60 to 70 wild geese and every year there are about 20 more.
At some point it will be difficult for the bathing company. "
(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)
The local council watched with concern as a whole bunch of wild geese settled on the playground.
That is also questionable from a hygienic point of view when children play there.
Displacement is difficult
The wild geese are not a new topic for Mayor Hermann Hammerl, but he sees no solution.
"You mustn't shoot the geese," says the mayor, "we can only scare them off." Such expulsion is difficult, however, because the geese are back at the Kranzberg recreation area within a very short time.
The local council is aware that solutions are needed for the future.
In the past, there have been repeated complaints about the legacy of the geese on the lawns at Kranzberg's little bathing paradise.
Roland Haslbeck indicated with his speech that at some point “the worst-case scenario” could occur if meadows or the lake could be closed to people due to health risks.
