The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Daraa organized today 12 supply controls and pulled 7 samples from the market to show their conformity with the Syrian standard specifications.
The Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awad, stated in a statement to SANA’s reporter that the seizures affected a service driver on the Damascus Azraa line, with a violation of levying an increase in passenger transportation wages based on a complaint from a citizen and the owner of a health store in the city of Sheikh Miskin, in violation of not announcing prices and the owner of a shop Shoes in the town of Al-Qunia, with a violation of the lack of a plate showing the consumer's right to exchange and return.
He added that consumer protection patrols organized nine arrests against owners of various commercial activities (food, health and modern materials, and clothing) in the cities and towns of Daraa, Ankhil, Sheikh Miskin and Garfa, for violating the presentation of illegal purchase invoices.
Dr. Al-Awad indicated that the directorate conducted a patrol of olive presses in the cities of Jassim and Nawa, and pulled seven samples of olive pomace for analysis and to ensure that they conformed to the Syrian standard specifications.
