Guests of the Therme Erding sometimes have to travel long distances.
However, anyone who arrived at the recreational pool unvaccinated and not recovered on Friday was turned away.
Erding
- Employees at Therme Erding needed a lot of patience on Friday.
In the control tent in front of the main entrance, they had to explain to some bathers why they were not allowed in.
Because from that day 2G was valid in the bathroom.
A family had traveled 500 kilometers from the center of Germany early in the morning to celebrate a birthday at the thermal baths.
The 2G rule for Therme Erding already applies: Unvaccinated people must be turned away
Mum and dad are vaccinated, the sibling is under twelve years old and is therefore not subject to the 2G rule, but the birthday child at the age of 13 is.
Without a vaccination, the child was already at the end of the line before the check-in.
“Unfortunately, we have had several such cases.
Our hearts bleed, ”reports Franziska Schmid, deputy manager of Familien- und Sportbad GmbH.
With well over 1000 mostly unfriendly comments, the news of the 2G restriction on Facebook caused quite a stir.
"We have to adhere to the guidelines," says Schmid about the stricter admission conditions imposed by the Erding District Office before they apply to pools in the rest of Bavaria.
Corona in Erding: FFP2 mask compulsory in the thermal baths
An FFP2 mask is now also mandatory - but only from the parking lot to the locker, says Schmid: “As soon as you have your swimwear on, you can leave the mask off.” In the bathing and sauna area, guests must keep their distance.
The reservation fee of 3.90 euros per head was paid back to customers.
The birthday family also received “a small voucher,” says Schmid.
With an incidence of over 300, Erding is a corona hotspot.
The district tightened from Thursday, according to the state government decision that would have been necessary from Saturday.
