How do employers in the Tölzer district handle this?

There are still many uncertainties.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen -

The corona numbers in the district have risen to dizzying heights.

Since the number of people in intensive care units is also high, the district has been a hotspot since last Saturday.

This means for employees that they have to adapt to changes.

Because from now on, “3G” applies to them - they must be vaccinated, recovered or regularly tested if they work at a job with more than ten employees and have contact with other people. But employees have so far reached their limits. "For data protection reasons, we are not allowed to ask our employees whether they have been tested or vaccinated," says Thomas Bundschuh, spokesman for the savings banks in the district. At the moment one is dependent on voluntariness - that is, that employees state their status on their own initiative. The "data protection issue" has not yet been officially clarified. Meanwhile, the Sparkasse is doing everything in its power to ensure a secure job. “We communicated internally that FFP2 masks must be worn. We also point out to all employeesnot going to work even with mild symptoms, ”says Bundschuh. Free self-tests are also available to employees.

3G rule in the workplace: Hard to control

The master craftsman Martin Heimgreiter, responsible for Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen and Miesbach, also provides free quick tests for all employees. He already fulfills the rules that have now been decided. The cabinet's decision does not change anything for him: “I have no problem with that.” Nevertheless, Heimgreiter considers the 3G rule in the workplace to be “difficult to control”. In the case of employees who drive to assembly or to the customer from home, companies could at best provide tests. They could hardly check whether the employees are using them. Heimgreiter says craft businesses have mastered the past year and a half well.Only since people were standing close together in football stadiums and discos have the numbers increased. The record incidence must be slowed down there, not in the trades. "I think it's a real shame that we are now back in the mess where we were so far."

Spokesman Falko Wiesenhütter does not see the effects of the 3G regulation on the city of Bad Tölz as having a major impact on the work in the town hall.

“A lot of our employees have been vaccinated.” The city was not allowed to make a survey among the employees either.

"But many deal with the issue very openly." However, the new regulation leaves some things open again.

“A lot is not regulated,” says Wiesenhütter.

It has been learned from the past that more precise specifications often only come a few days later.

Therefore, the city continues to stick to what has been done so far, such as providing all employees with free self-tests.

In principle, it is also easy to keep distances in Tölz town hall: “We have a large number of individual offices and a lot of space,” says Wiesenhütter.

"How should you check who is really testing if you are not allowed to be shown the tests?"

Employees at Raiffeisenbank in Oberland were also made aware of the 3G rule.

"That means that employees who are not vaccinated have to do a quick test twice a week," explains pandemic officer Ulrich Höllerl.

But: “How do you check that?” In his opinion, the biggest problem is that the employer is not allowed to query the vaccination status.

For data protection reasons, it is only possible for an employee to report the vaccination status on their own initiative, without being asked.

"That makes everything relatively difficult." It is sad that you are not allowed to do a voluntary survey.

The free self-tests provided by the employer were very well received at Raiffeisenbank im Oberland. "We are constantly testing, it works very well." With the help of the tests, a number of infections have already been detected, which were confirmed by the PCR test. "Even vaccinated and convalescent people test themselves regularly with us." In his opinion, this is the only way to master the situation. “It's just about testing, testing, testing.” This means that the situation is currently well under control.
