An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale struck tonight the area around the town of Shahdad, Kerman Province, central Iran.
Fars news agency reported that the tremor was 10 km deep, 57.62 longitude and 50.30 latitude.
The tremor was recorded 14 km from the town of Shahdad, 35 km from the town of Anduhjard and 59 km from the city of Kerman, the largest city in Kerman Province.
According to the General Directorate of Crisis Management in Kerman Province, the tremor has not resulted in injuries or damage so far.
