Where is the shame?

A 27-year-old resident of Nazareth, who heard that a man living in central Tel Aviv had died and left behind a lot of property and money, came to the apartment for two consecutive days and stole property, checks and credit cards through which he managed to withdraw NIS 130,000 from the deceased's bank account.

In recent days, the prosecution division of the Tel Aviv District Police has filed an indictment against him.

According to the indictment, about a month ago, a man who lived in the center of Tel Aviv died. After a visit by the rescue forces and the Tel Aviv Heart Police, the deceased's apartment was closed. A few days later, when the defendant learned that the deceased had money and property in his house he arrived with another person whose identity is unknown, and the two climbed the scaffolding that was assembled at the site, and lay next to the window of the deceased's apartment. The two dismantled the shutters that were assembled in the window of the deceased's apartment and then entered through the apartment window into the apartment.

For about an hour, the two rummaged through the deceased's belongings in various places in the apartment and finally stole three credit cards, a bank card and a number of checks that were transferred to a person whose identity is unknown, including five checks that were deposited and managed to receive NIS 130,000. After withdrawing all the money, the defendant arrived the next day to complete the theft, and again climbed the scaffolding, entered the apartment and this time stole a 100-inch TV, bicycle, iPad, a Rolex wristwatch, a coffee machine, ID cards of the deceased's two sons and Passport and identity card of the deceased.

A few days later, the Tel Aviv police managed to find out the details of the suspect after he left fingerprints in several places in the apartment, and after his interrogation, he admitted that he had broken into the deceased's apartment.

The respondent stated that he knew that the deceased worked as a franchisee of the Lottery and that he was told that the apartment had money and property that could be stolen.

The defendant also claimed during his interrogation that he used hard drugs frequently, and stated that he broke into the apartments in order to finance the drugs he needed and even in this case broke into the complainant's apartment twice and stole property from it.
