The AWO local association has introduced a form of childcare that is unique in Upper Bavaria: the AWOlinis mini-daycare center.

It is located in the multi-generation house Zenja on Planegger Straße and offers four-day care for children from 20 months.

Germering - In the morning, twelve toddlers per group play, sing and romp around together with the educational staff, celebrate the festivities of the annual cycle and slowly get to grips with the community in communal facilities.

Sandra Horstmann runs the mini-daycare center.

She reports that the groups were already fully booked when they started in September.

Horstmann: “Families are dependent on childcare places.

The fact that we only look after the small children until lunchtime instead of full-time like other facilities is sufficient for many parents. ”Those who work part-time nearby or can count on the support of the family are very satisfied with the part-time place.

In this way, the little ones learned to find their way into the community without having to go without a caregiver all day.

Information about free places, booking times and costs is available at www.awo-germering.de.
