Those who have not yet been vaccinated will soon have to do without a lot in Brandenburg.
The 2G rule should come for some areas - then no more test is enough.
Further tightening is still open.
Potsdam - Brandenburg wants to tighten the corona restrictions for unvaccinated people and partially introduce the 2G rule.
The cabinet agreed on Tuesday that only those vaccinated and recovered should have access to discos, clubs and festivals.
The formal decision should be made on Thursday - including whether restaurants and hotels will be added to the 2G rule.
The question of the reintroduction of the corona mask requirement in primary schools was initially open.
There were different views on this.
Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (SPD) pointed out that the cabinet must act quickly.
"What worries us very much (...) is the high dynamic of the infection," he said.
Regarding the mask requirement in elementary schools, Woidke remarked: "We will decide on Thursday."
The cabinet therefore did not agree on Tuesday whether first to sixth graders should wear the mouth and nose cover again.
Berlin is also reintroducing duty.
Education Minister Britta Ernst (SPD) had turned against a reintroduction according to information from the German Press Agency.
The CDU had concerns because, unlike in Saxony, the 2G rule should not be linked to a certain warning threshold.
