Rostock - The seven-day incidence of new corona infections reached a peak in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania on Tuesday.

With a value of 170.7, the number of new infections reported per 100,000 people in the past seven days has exceeded the previous high of 158.3 from April of this year, reported the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus).

The seven-day incidence increased by 14.5 compared to the previous day and by more than 65.8 within a week. The Lagus reported 726 new infections - a week ago there were 415. The seven-day incidence of new infections was highest in the Hanseatic city of Rostock with 205.2 and lowest in Schwerin with 102.5.

In terms of hospitalization incidence, all regions of the country are still in the green on the Corona level map.

Nationwide, this value was 3.2 on Tuesday - it shows the number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days.
