The Department of Agriculture in the city of Qamishli, which is affiliated with the Directorate of Agriculture in Hasaka, began granting agricultural regulation to farmers with the aim of implementing the agricultural plan for the winter season 2021-2022 for the cultivation of wheat and barley crops.
The head of the Department of Agriculture, Adel Suleiman, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the process of granting agricultural regulation to farmers in the city of Qamishli will continue until March 31 next year, and it includes the extension units of the Qamishli Agriculture Department so that farmers can benefit from the distribution of wheat and barley seeds directly after obtaining the agricultural regulation He pointed out that 400 hectares of irrigated wheat and 1,000 hectares of rainfed wheat have been planted to date.
It is noteworthy that the area of agricultural land within the scope of the Qamishli Agriculture Department is 50,000 hectares.
