The Directorate of Agriculture in Homs governorate distributed winter seedlings grant to 1050 beneficiaries in 10 villages in the northern countryside of the governorate as a second phase.
Engineer Aisha Abbara, head of the Agricultural Extension Department in the Directorate of Agriculture, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the grant was provided by the Homs Agriculture Directorate in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations FAO and the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Agriculture, and includes the cultivation of lettuce, cabbage and flower seedlings at 1,050 beneficiaries after it was successfully planted in the form of Sowing as a first stage for 150 beneficiaries in cork cages inside low greenhouses, provided that each beneficiary provides vegetable seedlings for 7 people determined by the Directorate of Agriculture.
A phrase indicated that the aim of the grant is to provide farmers with new techniques in the production of seedlings within low greenhouses to be the nucleus of projects bearing the character of sustainability, noting that the distributed seeds are of the improved type with high productivity specifications.
The Directorate of Agriculture distributed cucumber and tomato seedlings as a summer grant last May to the same beneficiaries in the mentioned villages.
