The Norwegian police announced that a person carrying a knife attacked pedestrians in the streets of the capital, Oslo, before killing him.
"A person carrying a knife attacked pedestrians in the Bislet district, north of Oslo, causing more than one injury," police spokesman Torger Brenden told the Associated Press, without giving any information about their condition.
Brenden explained that a police patrol tried to stop the attacker, but he attacked it, forcing it to shoot him, seriously wounding him, and he later died as a result.
Last month, five people were killed when a man armed with a bow and arrow and a knife stabbed them in a small town southwest of Oslo.
