At the Chabad school in Hadera, deficiencies were discovered and an engineer determined in the report that the structure was dangerous, and instead of finding a solution for the students, the municipality sent them to study zoom.
The publications in recent weeks about dwellings and buildings that have collapsed and almost caused a huge disaster have deprived the parents of about 200 students at the Chabad school in Hadera of sleep. To an earthquake that was felt - the students were so frightened that they ran away from the classrooms.
For a time, the municipality claimed that the building was not dangerous.
However, following the sequence of defects, a structural engineer was brought to the scene by the parents, who wrote in black and white that "the structure is dangerous and in need of restoration."
Only after the parents' just insistence was another engineer brought to the scene, this time also on behalf of the Ministry of Education and the Hadera Municipality, who also found that some of the classrooms were dangerous and had to be reinforced.
The ministry and the municipality claim that the rest of the structure is in order, but that the parents are afraid - and rightly so - and have decided not to send the students to school.
But instead of the Hadera municipality providing solutions, the parents received a surprising answer - which sends the students to study zoom.
This is an outrageous answer, probably after a year and a half of Corona, in which the students studied online and accumulated many gaps.

The mother of one of the students told: "The students have not been studying at the school for two weeks. At first there was learning in the parks, then there was a protest in front of the municipality. "Another offer we made was for the students to attend a mixed school, but we are an ultra-Orthodox school for girls. The students have been studying in a dilapidated structure for years, and no one cares. We expect the municipality to accept responsibility."
Hadera Municipality responded to the parents' claims: "In light of the opinion received by the parents, the authority turned to an expert in the field, who examined the opinion of the engineer brought by the parents. His decision was that there was no danger, .
The Ministry of Education said: "The engineer found that there is no impediment to conducting studies there, except in two classrooms that will undergo spot treatment. Despite this opinion, the parents decided not to return the students. In view of this, the district and local authority are working to formulate alternatives."
