India records lowest daily death toll from coronavirus in nearly eight months

India recorded 10,126 new infections with the emerging coronavirus during the past 24 hours, the lowest daily death toll in 263 days.

According to the data of the Indian Ministry of Health issued today, the total number of HIV infections in the country has reached 34,377,113 cases since the outbreak of the pandemic, while the total number of deaths has reached 461,389 cases, after 332 new deaths were recorded since yesterday morning.

India ranks second in the world in terms of the number of HIV infections after the United States and the third in terms of the number of deaths after the United States and Brazil.
