Criticism by various groups of Iran's alleged influence in last month's elections was seen by many in Iraq as the reason for the attack on Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al Kadhimi with two drones that Baghdad authorities said were loaded with explosives.
One of the drones was intercepted on its flight and the second reached its target, wounding seven of Al Kadhimi's bodyguards.
