Anti-nuclear activist, civilian as well as military, he wishes to impose this subject in the campaign: “It is very difficult in France.
I have been trying to make this fight heard for more than 35 years but I am vaccinated in the face of these difficulties, ”he assures us.
This application is not a first for Jean-Marie Matagne who already tried his luck in 2002. He then obtained about ten sponsorships, all granted in the Charentes.
Bring the debate across the country
A former EELV activist, the president of ACDN also ran for the primary of the environmental party in 2016 before withdrawing from the race.
Now not inscribed, he continued his civic engagement within the yellow vests movement before condemning its violence.
This time, the Saintais hopes to convince associations and opponents of the military and civilian uses of the atom to bring this debate to the scale of the country.
"I have the feeling of extreme gravity, there are extraordinary tensions in international relations," he said.
If he also wishes to speak of “climate, democracy, social and fiscal justice”, Jean-Marie Matagne mainly claims the respect of the international commitments of France: “We must negotiate a multilateral disarmament with the other States, including with those who have it unofficially, ”he sums up.
